Inspired by Dennis, but in no way rubbing it in his face

These are the movies I saw in theatres this year, in alphabetical order.

27 Dresses
Bolt
Burn After Reading
Charlie Bartlett
Choke
Cloverfield
The Dark Knight (x2)
The Happening
Happy Go Lucky
Iron Man
Mamma Mia
Marley and Me
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist
Pineapple Express
Role Models
Sex and the City: The Movie
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2
Strange Wilderness
Tropic Thunder
W.
WALLE
Zack and Miri

Whew. I saw 23 2008 releases in theatres. I am not even going to try to average out how much money I spent on all that. Brandon’s older brother thinks movies in a theatre are a total waste of money, but somehow, Brandon and I can always justify spending money on a movie. This list and its stinkers are making me rethink that a little bit. I could have done without seeing "Strange Wilderness" or "Charlie Bartlett". "Pineapple Express" was probably not worth $8.

Update: If we are counting 2007 movies I saw this year, then I am adding at least Atonement and Juno… possibly others? Man. I also saw Spirited Away at a midnight showing…

      • Yeah! I totally thought of the Sisterhood one a bit ago, I dunno if I missed that one on the list I found online or if it wasn’t on there… but Atonement was a 2007 movie, although we did see it in 2008. The same goes for Juno, which I saw this year.
