You wouldn’t think it would be too difficult to find statistics comparing how many state prison facilities there are now to that number ten years ago, state by state, but it is. There is no clear documentation of that.
Brandon’s job is going pretty well, for Week One. I picked him up on campus at noon yesterday and we had lunch at the apartment, since his building is only four or five blocks away from our place. I, however, am much more than five blocks away here at work, so we probably won’t do that very often.
I went to my gym this morning before work. It wasn’t horrible. I woke up at 6:10 and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I left at 6:45 and worked out. I didn’t have time to do all the stuff I usually do there, since I had to get ready for work in the locker room, but if I can make myself roll out of bed by 6 when Brandon does, I should have no excuse not to go to the gym in the mornings. It’s brilliant, in theory.
In other news. the investment club I joined at work (I didn’t quite know what I was agreeing to) sold all the stock we had in Weight Watchers. Stuff like that is being left behind in today’s economy. Last month we bought ten shares of Apple, and yesterday Steve Jobs did not appear at the annual Macworld event. Not to mention his weight issues have been in the news more than Oprah’s. Craaaap.
Not much going on this week. Last night Brandon and I went to the house church with Joe and Jessie again. I guess we are on our way to becoming regulars. We may even have to start learning people’s names. Tonight I am meeting Eileen at her place to hang out, but nothing’s going on tomorrow. I am going out to a bar with my department Friday after work, but I am hoping to make some plans for afterward. On Saturday, Brandon is going to a game night with some guys, and I am thinking of having a bunch of girls over to do something. We’ll see.
