Death Cab, “Diamond and a Tether”

This used to be my jam, you guys.

I proudly reveled in how strongly I identified with the narrator’s words and felt justified in my beliefs. I played it on repeat after I left a five-year relationship and moved to Chicago and whispered to myself that I’d done the right thing.

Now I find myself on the other side of this song, and these lyrics pretty much slap me in the face.

What goes around comes around, and karma is kind of a you-know-what.

Guess I had it coming, but it still stings.  Gonna go listen to this entire album for the third time this week. Later, guys.
